Week 1 QOL Update

It's been one week since Sneko Slayers has released! I've had the pleasure of being able to watch a few of my friends play the game, and as a result have come up with some aspects that need to be addressed. Let's talk about them!

Here is what the old aim looks like. The crosshair is line with the camera, so projectiles going in a straight line means they will hit the crosshair (ignoring gravity & left/right hand weapon offset). I noticed that players tended to aim downwards to be able to see enemies, which meant that they would miss most of their shots.

And here is the updated version! Ignore the sneko. I moved the entire camera a bit higher from the player, and made it so the crosshair is now dead-center. Projectiles will adjust their trajectory to hit the position the crosshair is actually pointing at, which leads to much more intuitive aiming. This way you have better vision of the enemies you are aiming at, instead of having to pan the camera back and forth like in the old version. This adjustment fixes the left/right hand offset, and also counterbalances upwards for weapons whose projectiles are affected by gravity.

The other big change is these cute little gumball machines! For an increasing sum of Nekoins, you can obtain a gumball! This is meant to help remedy the lack of healing options in this level. You can also obtain a gumball that picks up all dropped Nekoins in the level! I am hoping that this machine will help players reach the final boss more easily, without being whittled down by attrition.

Other than the aforementioned additions, I have made a few small tweaks to the level to help fix potential stuck spots, text clipping, and other small changes like this.

Finally, There is a limit to sound overlapping as well. For weapons that have AOE attacks vs. hordes of enemies, the sound could sometimes get overwhelming. This update makes it so the sounds can only play a few at a time, but not all at once, becoming a deafeningly loud amalgamation of noise. And for those that prefer chaos, there is a setting to turn this off >:3

There is also a setting to switch between the old and new aim style, for those that prefer one or the other.

I hope you enjoy these changes :D
